Ubisoft’s ambitious Assassin’s Creed is set to hit PCs by the end of March and will feature new exclusive content.

Assassin’s Creed came out for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in November of 2007 and received mixed reviews. Many people – myself included – felt that while the game greatly excelled in certain aspects, it fell terribly short in others.

One of those downfalls was the repetitious gameplay that became apparent very early on. For each mission, you were given a target to take down. In order to get more info on said target, you had to talk to informants, as well as interrogate, eavesdrop, and pickpocket. You had to do this for every target, so it got old fast.

Well it looks like Ubisoft wised up somewhat. The upcoming PC port, titled Assassin’s Creed: Director’s Cut, will feature four new investigation methods, and although they haven’t told us what they are exactly, hopefully they will help break up the action.

Here’s to Assassin’s Creed slowly becoming the game it should’ve been!
