36 WoW accounts

In what is perhaps the most shining example of obsession and geekiness I have ever seen, a fella by the name of Bradster has 36 World of WarCraft accounts that he plays on 11 computers simultaneously. He mainly seems to be doing it because he doesn’t like to rely on so many other people to get a raid going, which includes attacking the Alliance capital cities, and on that front I can totally see where he’s coming from.

I hate those Alliance douchebags too, but I’m not about to drop $5711 per year like Bradster is. The best way to get to them is to just live well, right? Well, Bradster doesn’t appear to be letting the Alliance off the hook so easily, as he plans on picking up 36 copies of Wrath of the Lich King on day one, spending around $1500, just so he can have a raid group of level 80 Shamans terrorizing Stormwind as soon as possible.

Read on to see how this crazy man manages to control all of these characters.

From the Bradster himself:

A lot have asked me, why create so many? The main reason is to invade Stormwind and Ironforge when they reach top level. I’m sure the Alliance will put up a big fight when that happens. We’ll see how it goes. If they don’t make level 70 before Wrath of the Lich King, then it will be at level 80. That is my main goal. That will probably happen after I’ve got some PvP gear from the battlegrounds. I’m also planning to do some 25 and 10 man raid instances but that is secondary to my PvP goal. Of course I’ll be doing arenas too to build up PvP gear but I’m not expecting to do that great there because I’m way behind in gear right now. I need to get to level 70 first, then level 80 and by then I will probably have all green gear while most others have been doing the battlegrounds and arenas.

It costs me exactly $5711 in subscription costs per year with 36 accounts on the 6 month pay schedule. Not bad considering I’m looking at it like it’s a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft.

32 of my shaman are level 61. One shaman that I had before I started the 32 is at level 70 along with 8 other level 70 classes that I had. My mage, priest and druid are in the center of the circle of shaman in the pictures but they are kind of hard to see. I’ve also got some mages and priests that I’m currently working on that are level 23. Once they are at level 31.9, I will stop working on them, get 16 of them to level 60 with the recruit-a-friend bonus levels and work on the shaman again.

When Wrath of the Lich King is released, I plan to be at the store when it opens and will purchase 36 copies of it. With tax, it should be about $1500 for all of them. Then the shaman are on their way to level 80 along with the priest, druid and mage.

By the way, I have 9 level 80 shaman created on the Murmur PvP realm in the Wrath of the Lich King beta. I mainly tried it out to see how well my computers would work as they are. With the exception of one my desktop computers, I should be fine with the hardware that I have.

I use 3 addons in the game. CT_MapMod is used to give me locations for quests, etc. ClassIcons is another addon that I use to show the class of the target. It helps for PvP encounters. Then the last addon I use is SSPVP2 which is excellent for displaying timers and other things while in the battlegrounds.

For my keys to send to all instances of WoW on my 11 computers, I use Octopus 1.3.2. Maximizer in Octopus allows me to start up all WoW instances at the same time or any individual instance such as if a WoW instance has crashed. It also allows me to shutdown all of the computers at the same time.

Here is a picture of my computer set up:

WoW 36 accounts, 11 computers

Not shown to the right is another laptop which runs 3 copies that I just moved there. The keyboard on the right was moved to the top shelf there as I don’t really use that keyboard while playing. I have macros that set my main assist/cast/follow. Any of the eight screens to the front can be set to main assist/cast/follow as my mouse scrolls to them all using Octopus.

*UPDATE: As some commenters have pointed out, Bradster is not the owner of Prepared and all of the 36 WoW accounts, he was just the guy that uploaded the links to the forum. Bradster himself has only 5 WoW accounts. Bradster is the one who is married, so we don’t really know anything about Prepared’s girl-touching status. You may now continue to unabashedly flame.

  1. what realm do yall play on cuz im getting my account seperat from the family and movein my toon so idk where to put him but i want to have a set up like this and get payed for it

  2. honestly, i would never do anything like this, but what right do any of us have to dictate how this dude lives own life? i only read one age and its every bickering and crying about his electric bills and his non girlfriend and his non life. really, who cares? no one comes and whines about your so-called life which prolly just involves watching tv, going to work, and ummm, hmmm, posting things on some random forum. that about sums it up for most of us. it took more brainpower to engineer this dude's computer setup then most of you will use in your entire lives. so with your 'lives,' and go to church and then mcdonald's right afterwards because you're so much better than everyone:)

    • totally agree i talked to him a bit back on wow i was on a friends server i saw like 5 shammies almost all the same running around so i asked him are thye all urs and he said yes so i asked him ow to do it so now i have bugged my 2 computers and i have 5 mages running around and its hard work

  3. Haha. The dude is a fucking hero. All you douchebags flaming him are just jealous. Few people have this much determination and focus on their hobby, granted the hobby can become obsession but to drive, and pay for that setup, you need some good income so fuck off idiots.

    • true that my firend fuck u haters let him live like he wants to live if i had the money i woyuld get a setup like that to

  4. wow is a good game… but it doesn't worth a life :/
i mean.. its a game, just a game.. and thousands maybe millions.. of kids and other kinda freaks loose all their lifetime, friends.. EVERYTHING!!!

nothing better than friends, girls/boys (lol) ..life is beautifull with other people
and that game steal you, blind you, and really FUCK YOU!!

never forget that it's just a FUCKING GAME!!!

    • It doesn’t mean he has no life. And people that say “it’s just a game”, take this from someone who was “addicted”, it’s not.

        • just to let u know its been deemed a drug its so addictive they have therapy for people who are to addicted to the game so its not just a game but also a DRUG

          • To be honest here, there’s nothing you can’t turn into heroin.

            Also…

I play WoW and I can pull myself away from it at any time, I’ve been playing for years and I am not addicted to it. I am also a graphic designer. So yes I have a life, a well-paying career, a BFA, and… I play WoW too. So not everyone who plays is a kid who has no life. In fact, I meet more people on there over the age of 25… who have families and careers of their own. i think this guy is really skilled for being able to do this.. A complete geek no doubt, but a genius nonetheless.

    • you sit there and say life is beautiful and wonderful it maybe just a game but life in its whole is not always so wonderful it is harsh and unforgiving and sad friends and family are not always the best people you make them out to be life is life no matter how you live it so i think you should never judge anyones life because each to there own no one person is the same so dont think they should live it the same some could tell you that your life suxs and you should travel more or whatever you dont do that others think you should

  5. I buy the 2 accounts of this game via paypal. Because only paypal give currency exchange facility. Those accounts are too pricey.I am amazed that how this man own these 26 accounts? and how he is manage them alone?

  6. He plays on the realm, Aegwynn. i currently play on this realm as ally and believe me…. this guy can be a real di**. He is commonly found in front of the Voa instance door and likes to kill innocent people that try and raid.

  7. I get amused when these self-righteous ‘worthy’ human beings say friends, girlfriends and career take precedence over this guy’s hobby, even if he enjoys this hobby so much more.

  8. dude….wth do u do to afford all of that. over 540 dollars a month and all those computers…u gotta be insanely rich

  9. If he is enjoying what he does then god bless him. Who are we to criticize him or decide whats best for him? His money > his buisness > end of story. There’s nothing you can do abaut it so why bother calling him names and supporting a false belief that wetting your penis in a random vagina is a sign of value?

  10. I admire this guy, to be able to raid by himself, and to pull it off, i would love to even learn how to dual box! this guy is my new hero :D

and for those who say get a life and its just a game, try playing it, hit lvl 80 and raid once and you tell me what you think, itss more then a game, for alot of us its an alternate reality. leveling a character for weeks you get a bond with that toon, and then you hit 80 and you start raiding is a great feeling, escpecially after you down the end game content. so grow up :D alright dont bag on other people for being different :D

  11. First off — if this guy is having fun, more power to him — fun is hard enough to find in this world. But … dang, I can’t imagine what he does in the ‘real world’ to PAY for this set up! A bank of computers (probably fairly high end), multiple copies of the game at $40-$50 a pop, the monthly fees, and the electricity to run them. That’s a stack of cash. Yes, I’m jealous — my one lonely little account and computer are all I can afford, LOL. I can’t imagine the load of hours this takes out of his life, but as was said above, it’s his hobby. Not the way I’d want to go (for one thing, I refuse to raid, WAY too much hassle for me, I PVE and I’m content to just explore and quest with my buds) but have fun, dude!

  12. QUOTE: It costs me exactly $5711 in subscription costs per year with 36 accounts on the 6 month pay schedule. Not bad considering I’m looking at it like it’s a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft.

Yeah, let me know how much it costs in electricity and computers to play them all on. There are so many cheaper hobbies I won’t bother to list them.

  13. you guys are all saying what a dork and this guy needs to get a life this dude must be seriously rich to afford all those computers plus the wow game so next time critisising and maybe try and focus on ur life and try and make it betteer so ur not left to blog about a dude you dont even no. Hes Proberly Better Than You!!!

  14. everybody who play’s wow needs to get a life or get laid big time doesn’t matter if u have only 1 account or 36 like this dousbag. but i do have 1 question: how your girlfriend?? or are you just married to your wow charecter

  15. Ok so I saw the setup and I read the comments, now normally I would never take the time to register to write a comment but…First off let me just say, Grats on following what makes you happy. Second to all of you faggot ass fucking queer flaming bitch made fucking pussys, may you all suck a big fat fucking dick and die a slow fucking death. Who the fuck do you think you are to judge him?? NO ONE! You are fucking nothing! Nobody comes to your home and makes fun of you for having a little penis do they?? Well then again you fucking pussys dont have the courage to put yourselfs out there. I would just like to say one more time grats on an awesome setup, and you flamers I hope you burn in flames. BITCHS!

  16. Damn, that’s a bad ass gaming station. Jesus, he’s almost a one man army. It dies say he only owns 5 accounts, so I don’t know how to take that. Does that mean he only 5 boxes accounts or what? Either way it takes a hell of a lot more intelligence to operate even a 2 box set up than it does to submit half of these retarded fucking comments some of you are posting about what this dude does for fun. Has anyone talked shit about any of you fondling your 3 inch cack while your dad rapes your shit stained cock pocket with his vagina? Nope. Cus that’s what obviously makes you dick monging cock pansies happy. Go fuck yourselves. Btw, I’m not judging any of you for being flaming butt burglars…just merely stating the facts. Anyway I used to 2 box on everquest back in the day with a Druid and tank and it had it’s tough moments but it was fun as fuck… But eq was a Little more strategic and posed more of a challenge than wow… Seriously… Might have been a Lil more buggy in some areas and annoying at times but when I can get a trial version of wow and tear through to level 20 in a couple of hours, that’s just ridiculously to easy.. I need something at least somewhat brain stimulating. No offense to you wow heads. Don’t get me wring I the game is fun, I just prefer something more challenging. Anyone mad about thus comment is prolly being raped in their herpes infested snatch trap as we speak…. Enjoy brad.. Do it how you do it, fuck the haters, bro

  17. lol if i were u i wont even try to get the into BG with all of ’em alone cuz u gonna get rape… 1 head cant beat 15 at the same time. n yeah man u ur life sucks n so do ur obsession with WoW

  18. Any sort of automation or use of 3rd party software to control your character in game is a violation of tou. Controlling multiple characters via subchannel is a violation of eula. You quite literally have to control each character individually with it’s own interface in order to not be violating tou. The only stated legal multiboxing solutions are: literally controlling each character independently, or creating your own peripheral (peripherals) that sends control input to each instance of the game seperately. If blizzard gave a damn about multiboxers (more than they give a damn about 5 grand a year, more if you count everyone multiboxing) this guy would most certainly be banned and out somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 grand a year and every single copy of the game he owns. Argue if you like but i have tracked and submitted multiboxers resulting in banned accounts (due to automation). This is not the way the game was meant to be played, there simply is no argument that will hold water against that fact. Regardless of how much money he gives blizzard or the fact that he may legitimately own 36 accounts, that fact, in fact, does not entitle him to an individual advantage. Oh well i don’t play wow any longer (for 2 years now), and actually considering the date of this article, I’d be surprised if this type of shenanigans were to have been allowed to continue, based on my experience. Don’t be a loser like this fellow. AGAIN, multiboxing can be legal, but only when you control each character interface seperately, or via a purely hardware solution, so don’t jump down my throat. It appears that this gentlemen has, at first glance, control over multiple instance of the game via a software solution, which is illegal. And I think someone pointed this out already: 10 heads (or 15 or 25 or 40) are better than one, and in addition to the questionable legality of this guys activity, one has to question the net effectiveness considering the only allowable multiboxing solutions that won’t get you banned require you to either divide your focus, or multiply a single input (which explains all the shamans, very common class to stack for multiboxers because of the simple burst rotation and the simplicity of scaling that to multiple instance of the game). Im FTH but he’s gonna get raped in SW. Do not envy this man, be sad for him. Grats to everyone who’s ever gone 36-0 in a bg and didn’t need to cheat to accomplish it ;) Further speculation has led me to the conclusion that this is inevitably what will occur on a long enough timeline when someone has too much money, no social skills, doesn’t play well on a team, and still wants to interact with other humans, but only in such a way that he can exert his dominance. Ineffective as a “lone wolf”? multiply yourself! what a sociopath….
