Of course none of us can predict with absolute certainty that anything in life will be great prior to its “moment of truth.” That said it’s still funny to see the price people will pay to be a part of something even remotely exclusive after they realize they like it. And that’s exactly what Transformer loving gamers who didn’t pre-order Transformers: War for Cybertron are doing right now on eBay to get their hands on some Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop DLC exclusives.

The image below represents the higher end auctions for Demolisher as of 5:25am EST.

Now, I’m no rocket scientist, but if you are this huge jaded Transformers fan, wouldn’t it have been more cost effective to pre-order the game for say five bucks, sit on the pre-order for a day or two, wait for a few reviews to trickle in, and then cancel it if you’re not interested?

Sound off in the comments section. What do you think of games sprinkling various exclusives across multiple storefronts and the idea of buying the additional content at a premium?
