Red Dead Redemption’s cinematic nature is one of the things that drew people into playing it, and apparently that hasn’t been lost on Hollywood producers. ShowBizSpy reports that Brad Pitt may be headed for the silver screen as John Marston, the game’s main character. According to sources, Pitt is being given the right of first refusal for the role. The movie is said to be an “epic Western but with a few modern touches.”

It wouldn’t be the first time Pitt has played a famous outlaw. He recently took on the role of the notorious titular character in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. With a big name talent at the center of the film, this one may just escape the game adaptation curse.

  1. Brad played great in the assassination of jesse james, and I think if he can talk with a bit “cruscy” in his voice, the adaption of John Marston and RDR the movie could be a huge hit :D
