Last week Ripten reported a strange bundle for the Wii containing FlingSmash with a device identified as the ‘Wii Remote Plus’.  Nintendo has been relatively quiet on the matter until today.

In a recent conversation with Eurogamer Nintendo admitted the Wii Remote Plus is indeed “real” but then went on to say they had “nothing to announce on this at the moment.”

The Wii Remote Plus is believed to be be a combo Wii Remote and Wii Motion plus.

FlingSmash is due out November 7th  so expect a more formal announcement on the device soon.

  1. It’s definitely a plus for future Wii owners. No more $74.97 for a WiiMote, Wii Motion Plus adapter, and Nunchuck. If this comes out around 49.99 – 54.99 price range it’d be on par with the Sony controller now.

  2. It’s great to see Wii MotionPlus actually built-in with the Wii Remote instead of being sold separately, now the remotes don’t look so big and bulky.
