Just like Australia, Germany is often shafted in the world of video games and with upcoming-smash-hit Call of Duty: Black Ops it’s definitely no different. The official European version of the game is banned in Germany, and with the game using “Steamworks”, importing a copy from another region will do nothing.

Some of the edits include toning down certain scenes, censoring “anti-constitutional symbols” and the Germans will also miss out on the Rolling Stones song “Sympathy for the Devil” because of it’s subject material. As I live in a country where many games are toned down, banned, or just raped by our censorship board, I can definitely feel for the gamers of Germany.
