In celebration of Biohazard/Resident Evil’s 15th anniversary, Capcom has confirmed plans to release HD versions of two games from the franchise. Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X will get the HD treatment very soon. Both games will be downloadable titles for PSN and XBLA with a release date of Fall this year.
The HD versions will include all extra content from special editions released on other platforms including Resident Evil 4’s “separate Ways” epilogue.
Check out some comparison screenshots below. I just hooked up a Gamecube to my HD TV to see if the game looks that crappy from its original release. It doesn’t look anything near as bad as these screenshots show.
