Crysis 2 is a babe. A hot, awesome, digitally amazing babe… That could be that tiny bit more amazing if it could unleash its full graphic prowess upon the eagerly awaiting machines of PC enthusiasts the world over.

While the general thoughts amongst the community were that Crytek would obviously be shipping a DX 11 patch for their FPS-blockbuster title at some point, the developers of the title have gone ahead and officially announced it to quell any naysayers.

Tom Ebsworth, the community manager over at MyCrysis and Crytek posted a thread reading;

We would like to announce that there will be a DX11 patch released for Crysis 2. We are working to get the best out of DX11, so we’ll wait to announce the features until a little closer to release.

Like we originally thought (even prior to this ‘official’ announcement), however there’s still no release date in sight  but we will keep you updated.

Will we see the infamous DirectX 11 patch soon? Let me know in the comments below or via Twitter – @DrjftGaming.

  1. To be honest, I’d rather see a high-def texture pack. Not that it matters too much. I had a blast with the game, but I doubt I’ll be replaying it any time soon.

  2. When they do it i’ll use it to benchmark but the guy above me is right. As far as replay goes, its too little too late.

  3. I am not playing the game until this said patch is released. I am actually really annoyed I spent $60 on a game that is not complete… Buyer beware : /
