Team Meat, creator of Ripten’s 2010 game of the year Super Meat Boy, has said it will never abandon the PC platform.

Speaking on an IndieGames.com podcast, Edmund McMillen said:

We’re never going to make a game that couldn’t also be on PC. That’s a stupid thing for most indies to do. PC is crucial.

An excellent thing to hear for PC gaming fans, and it makes a lot of sense. Getting your game out on PC is so much easier then trying to get it approved by big console companies, and the huge PC following of indie titles makes it more likely to be a success as well.

  1. The current indie PC scene is a thing of beauty. There’s everything from a puzzle games where you play an octopus impersonating a human dad to off-the-wall first person cyberpunk RPGs. Indie gaming has never been better.
