Capcom are launching a promotional campaign for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City which involves an interactive mass-participatory game in UK cities.

From the 22nd of March, gamers in Bristol, Manchester and London will be able to take ‘missions’ using augmented reality zombies on an iPhone and Android app. As far as I can work out from the excitedly-worded press release you walk around the city eliminating zombies on your app.

If you’re in London there’s a live event as well (details below) which will let players (according to Capcom) “[enter] the challenge to hunt around the capital’s urban environments after a mission briefing from operatives in a zombie-free location.”
