[UPDATE] Get to Twitter!!

In case you were out partying on Saturday night, you may have missed out when Cartoon Network brought back Toonami for a night, just for April Fools.  However, they went all out, even bringing back legendary voice actor Steve Blum to record new dialogue for Tom.  Better yet, they even cranked out a Mass Effect 3 review that was more dead on than most we’ve seen:

It may not have been as praise filled as was the RipTen Review of Mass Effect 3, but we’ll allow it anyhow.

Sadly, even after an outpouring of support from fans like us, CN cannot say if Toonami will not be back for good.  However, loyalists have started a petition and Facebook page in order to change that.

Maybe they’ll complain to the FTC next… stay tuned.

  1. Toonami being canceled sucked, but I can see why they might not want it back. I was at the Cartoon Network Upfront last week and the network has been doing a whole lot better. Highest ratings in over five years and a 28% increase in Q1 alone from 2011. Also they’re leading first in key demos (Boys 6-11).

Perhaps they could find a way to incorporate it with their late night block since their current daytime block is working better than they imagined.

  2. Just to be clear, Adult Swim has refused to comment on weather or not they are bringing Toonami back.  They have not stated they will not.

  3. This was the first, completely honest review of Mass Effect 3 I have seen.  Everyone else just seems to unconditionally praise it as one of the greatest games of all time

    • I’m just glad he talked about the RPG elements; that is what they left out, added back in, etc. Most reviews only talked about how great the shooter elements were, and not about the progression of the RPG. Spot on about the story anyway.

  4. Admittedly that review was much better than this sites review of the game.  Sorry guys but I just don’t understand how that game was a perfect 10.

      • Metal Gear Solid is a perfect game and the series ending in MGS4 is probably the best ending in a video game ever, it reveals everything gives you complete and utter closure. hell MG1,3 & 4 were all perfect.

        • They are not perfect. Unless a game can score a 10/10 in every category with _every gamer_ it can never be perfect. It can be _damn_ good, it can be _almost_ perfect, it can even be perfect _for you_, but no matter how good it is there is no such thing as a perfect game.

  5. CN may have said no toonami for good, i don’t want daytime toonami, i want Saturday night Toonami, Toonami is too good to share the daytime with adventure time, regular show, mad, and level up, which don’t appeal to the adults. The real toonami fans are in their late teens or adults now, 10k people have tweeted to @adultswim to #BringBackToonami Steve Blum is asking us to bring Back Toonami. We want Toonami on Saturday Nights, nothing less than that.

      • It’s pretty much no considering
Stuart Snyder hates Toonami and animation in general. Ever wonder why we got that crappy TOM for the final incarnation? That was all his doing.

  6. GOD DAMMIT! I now have an urge to rip of the CN owner’s heads. I thought they had actual brought back Toonami!

  7. Toonami was the one word that described my childhood. A manly tear was shed watching this. And that was the most spot on Me3 review i’ve seen so far.

  8. Adult Swim tweet on Apr 2: “Want it back? Let us know. #BringBackToonami”(insert 12k and counting fan retweets here, not counting direct tweets)Adult Swim tweet on Apr 4: “#BringBackToonami We’ve heard you. Thank you for your passion and interest – stay tuned.”… A possible come back? Will be interesting to see what happens.
