A new 3DS firmware update is due out on April 25th, 2012 in North America.  This firmware update will allow users to create folders on the 3DS Home Menu and store games and applications within them.  These folders will be a huge help for those that download a lot of digital content and wish to organize it nicely.

Additionally, the update will allow for 3DS games to receive patches downloadable from the 3DS eShop.  Nintendo has announced that one of the first games that will receive a patch is Mario Kart 7.  Apparently Nintendo will be mending some shortcut glitches found within the popular kart racer.
