Last week, we told you that the Dinobots were coming to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron’s multiplayer mode, but it was unclear how the lumbering beasts would fit within the format of the title’s competitive game. Not only has High Moon Studios given us a look at the four in action, but they’ve also provided some footage of the already-released Havok pack and the upcoming Massive Fury pack.

With the exception of the skins and weapons in the Massive Fury pack, all of the DLC is essentially comprised of multiplayer customization items. It appears that the Dinobots and Insecticons¬†look and move differently than vehicle mode Transformers, but otherwise conform to the game’s four classes (Infiltrator, Scientist, Titan and Destroyer). If you enjoy the multiplayer and are looking for ways to distinguish your custom creations in battle, the 800 msp/$9.99 for each pack might be worth it.

If you’re solely interested in the single player or horde-type Escalation mode, you might want to steer clear. It’s great to see these fan-favorite characters make an appearance in the game’s competitive modes, but it’s unclear whether they are a good investment. We’ll be taking a look at the Dinobots in action in an upcoming review. Regardless of our verdict, the teaser video below is completely free (and awesome).
